Other Disputes
Can my dispute be mediated?
Mediation is not limited to particular types of dispute.
If two or more people, businesses or organisations are in disagreement and are willing to explore whether a negotiated solution can be reached, mediation may be able to help.
You do not need to know whether your disagreement is legally a “civil” or “commercial” dispute, or whether mediation is the right process, before contacting us.
What other disputes can be mediated?
Other areas in which mediation may help include:
Employment and workplace disputes
Disagreements between employers and employees, colleagues, managers and business owners, including working relationships, pay, performance, grievances, discrimination, dismissal and the terms on which employment comes to an end.
School and education disputes
Disagreements involving schools, parents, pupils and others within the school community, including communication, behaviour, pastoral matters, fees and other school-related concerns.
Building and construction disputes
Disagreements concerning building works, defects, variations, delays, payment and contractual issues involving property owners, contractors and other professionals.
Professional and client disputes
Disagreements between professionals, businesses and their clients or customers concerning services, fees, performance or other aspects of their relationship.
Other private and civil disputes
Mediation can also be used for many other disagreements between individuals, businesses and organisations, including disputes involving services, contracts, reputation, intellectual property and other civil or commercial matters where those involved would prefer to explore an agreed solution rather than allow the dispute to continue or escalate.
Not sure whether mediation could help?
That is something we can help you decide.
If you are involved in an argument or dispute that you have been unable to resolve, contact us for an initial discussion. We can talk through the problem, explain how mediation works and consider whether it could provide a practical and proportionate way forward.
