Helen Adam

Helen read law at Cambridge and, after a brief period in commercial law, moved into family law in 1989, working for one of the leading private client practices in London. Having gained considerable experience dealing with financial issues for wealthy clients, she moved to a High St practice as a partner, where she broadened her experience to cover all aspects of family law. She trained as a mediator in 2007, since when she has practiced exclusively as a family mediator.  She works with clients in Tunbridge Wells and in Central London.

She is accredited with the Family Mediation Council and is a Professional Practice Consultant, supervising a number of family mediators in their developing practices.  She is qualified to offer Child-Inclusive Mediation and speaks regularly on the goal and challenges of shared parenting post-separation.

Helen also works as a trainer.  She is one of the foundation trainers for the Family Mediators’ Association, and speaks regularly on Family Mediation, including to new family court judges at the Judicial College.

Helen runs workshops for those looking to move on from the difficulty of relationship breakdown into a successful shared parenting relationship.  She runs the ‘Moving On’ workshops in Kent and trains others to run them in other locations.

Outside of the world of family breakdown, Helen spends much of her time in the West Highlands, with dogs and family.
